Warranty Coverage & Customer Responsibility

General Terms

All correspondence and requests must be submitted in writing via email to your designated Customer Service Representative or Account Manager. Verbal or phone communication is not accepted for warranty-related matters.

Due to the custom nature of our products, all sales are final. Orders may not be returned or refunded if the delivered items match the specifications provided on the purchase order, even if they differ from the customer’s intended application. Knobs and pulls are not included with any of our cabinets. Doors and drawer fronts are not pre-drilled for decorative hardware. Customers must supply their own knobs or pulls and drill onsite or request them as an add-on order where available.

All product images, samples, and digital renderings are intended only as representative references. Final products may vary slightly in color, sheen, or texture.

Corona Millworks does not apply paint or stain to wood doors or drawer fronts; all finishing occurs after customer receipt.

Because paints and stains are hand-sprayed, batch variation may occur. While we strive to maintain strict matching standards, an exact match between separate batches or replacement parts cannot be guaranteed. Corona Millworks will make every reasonable effort to color-match or grain-match products when requested. However, due to the natural variation in wood color, grain pattern, and texture, perfect alignment or match cannot be guaranteed and is not considered a defect.

If any product or component covered under warranty is no longer available, Corona Millworks reserves the right to provide a substitute of equal grade and quality currently in production.

Customer Responsibility

All specifications, material availability, limitations, manufacturing standards, and product details provided by Corona Millworks are subject to change without prior notice.

It is the customer’s responsibility to review the most current warranty and product information, which will be published on our website. Placement of an order constitutes acceptance of the most current published terms.

Once an order has been placed, no changes can be made.

Any order canceled after submission will incur a cancellation fee, the amount of which depends on the stage of completion at the time the cancellation request is received

Wood Doors & Drawer Fronts

All wood doors and drawer fronts carry a limited one-year warranty from the date of delivery, contingent upon compliance with the following conditions.

Product Specification and Size Limitations

To maintain structural integrity and warranty eligibility, all doors and drawer fronts must comply with Corona Millworks’ manufacturing specifications. Products ordered outside these guidelines may be denied warranty coverage. Please refer to coronamillworks.com or current written documentation for full details on construction limitations by style.

  • Solid Drawer Fronts must not exceed 10” in height or 33” in width.
  • Cope and Stick Frame Doors over 48” in height must include a center rail.
  • Wood Doors over 72” in height are not covered under the standard warranty.

Custom designs that fall outside of catalog specifications may require prior authorization and are subject to limited or no warranty coverage.

General Tolerances

Corona Millworks wood doors and drawer fronts are manufactured to the nearest 1/16” of an inch, adhering to precise construction standards. However, due to the natural properties of wood and accepted industry practices, the following tolerances apply and are not considered defects:

A warp or twist not exceeding 3/16″, as measured across the length or width of the product (by laying flat against a true plane surface), shall not be considered a defect.

A tolerance of 1/16″ is allowed in both overall dimensions and squareness.

Gaps at miter joints of less than 1/32″ are considered acceptable and are not covered under warranty.

These tolerances reflect the natural behavior of wood and normal variability in production. Claims based on measurements within these ranges will not be honored under warranty. All wood components should be properly acclimated and inspected before finishing or installation.

Natural Wood Variations

Natural variations in color, grain configuration, and texture are inherent characteristics of genuine wood products and shall not be considered defects. These variations reflect the uniqueness of each individual piece of wood and may include:

  • Differences in shading
  • Mineral streaks
  • Knots
  • Growth rings

Such natural traits contribute to the authenticity and beauty of real wood and are not controllable through the manufacturing process.

Exact matches between doors, drawer fronts, or replacement items cannot be guaranteed.

Color or grain differences between sample materials and final products are expected and are not covered under this warranty.

Finishing Guidelines for Customers

Proper finishing is essential to preserve the integrity wood doors and drawer fronts and to maintain warranty coverage. The following requirements must be followed:

Products must be finished within the specified timeframe after receipt:

  • Within 24 hours in coastal (within 5 miles of saltwater body) and in desert regions
  • Within 72 hours in all other areas

All wood components must be finished evenly on all surfaces: This includes fronts, backs, and all edges to ensure moisture balance and prevent warping or cracking.

Coastal Installation Warning

If products are installed or used within five (5) miles of a saltwater body, the warranty is void unless the wood is properly sealed and maintained using finishes appropriate for high salinity environments.

Salt-laden air accelerates moisture absorption, wood movement, and hardware corrosion.

Finishing products with appropriate sealers and topcoats — and maintaining them regularly — is the customer’s responsibility. Failure to meet these finishing requirements will void warranty coverage.

Finishing Restrictions for Warranty Eligibility

Corona Millworks sells all wood doors and drawer fronts in an unfinished state and does not offer finishing services. While customers may choose to apply their own finishes, the following guidelines are provided as general best practices for maintaining product stability and performance.

Please note that finishing the product does not preserve warranty coverage.

To qualify for any warranty, claim or product remake under Corona Millworks’ warranty policy, the following conditions must be met:

  • Products must remain in their original, unfinished, and unaltered condition.
  • Any application of paint, stain, sealer, clear coat, or other surface treatments will void all warranty coverage.
  • Modifications such as trimming, cutting, drilling, or sanding also void the warranty.

If a product is returned for warranty evaluation and has been finished or altered in any way, the claim will be automatically denied.

Panel Construction Guidelines

Corona Millworks offers recessed panel doors and drawer fronts in 1/4”, 3/8” and 7/16” thickness, each type is subject to the following conditions and warranty limitations:

7/16” Solid Panel Option

All doors and drawer fronts that have a 7/16″ solid recessed (glue-up) panel can be changed to a 3/8″ veneer panel upon request.

Veneer Panel Material Options

Doors and drawer fronts with a 3/8” veneer panel are only available to be manufactured in the following species:

  • Alder (Select)
  • Cherry (Select)
  • Maple (Select Hard White)
  • Oak (Select White)
  • Oak (Rift White)
  • Walnut (Select)

Requests for 3/8” veneer panels outside these approved species will not be accepted and will be manufactured as a solid glue-up panel.

Solid glue-up panels are also susceptible to variations in color and grain due to the heavy planning and sanding needed to produce the 7/16” thick panel. Corona Millworks does not guarantee a color or grain match for glue up panels and is not considered a defect.

Corona Millworks recommends using veneer recessed panels whenever possible due to their stability and because they provide a consistent color and grain pattern.

Out-of-State Shipments – Warranty Limitation for Glue-Up Panels

Solid wood glue-up panel doors and drawer fronts are not warrantied when shipped outside the state of California. All 7/16” solid recessed (glue-up) panels must be produced with a veneer panel, not a solid wood glue-up panel.

Solid wood glue-up panels are highly sensitive to changes in climate during freight and at the destination address. Corona Millworks cannot guarantee performance, stability, or long-term quality, once exposed to environmental conditions outside of our controlled region.

Out-of-State Shipping Limitations (Wood Doors & Drawer Fronts)

Due to natural material behavior and environmental differences across regions, Corona Millworks cannot warranty solid wood doors or solid wood drawer fronts shipped outside the state of California.

Wood is a hygroscopic material and expands or contracts based on surrounding moisture levels.

During transport or installation in regions with humidity levels significantly different from California, solid wood products may experience:

  • Warping or twisting
  • Cracking or splitting
  • Joint stress or separation
  • Dimensional movement beyond normal tolerances

These conditions result from environmental moisture fluctuations, not manufacturing defects, and therefore cannot be covered under warranty.

Customer Responsibility (Out of State)

Customers receiving solid wood products outside California must understand:

  • Environmental changes cannot be fully controlled, even with proper acclimation.
  • Maintaining stable humidity and climate control is the customer’s responsibility.
  • Any structural movement or failure caused by environmental conditions is not warrantied.

Compliance Requirement

All warranty coverage for this product category is contingent upon full adherence to the Environmental and Structural Warranty Guidelines. Failure to meet these conditions will void all applicable warranty coverage.

E-Series Doors & Drawer Fronts

All standard E-Series edge banded doors and drawer fronts are covered under a 1-year manufacturing defect warranty from the date of original purchase. This coverage includes the following defects:

Mini Shaker Styles

For best long‑term finish performance, Corona recommends selecting Mini Shaker color options from the approved Mini Shaker material list. Material selected outside the approved list are not covered for finish-quality warranty, but manufacturing and structural coverage remains.

Mini Shaker styles may also be subject to extended lead times due to the nature of the profile, material constraints, and production requirements.

Grain Matching (not available in Mini Shaker Styles)

Corona Millworks will grain-match textured melamine doors and drawer fronts upon customer request. Our standard production method is non-grain-matched unless otherwise specified.

To request grain matching, customers are required to submit a fully detailed and clearly labeled elevation drawing indicating the desired grain direction and alignment. This documentation ensures accuracy and reduces the possibility of error during order processing or production.

Orders requesting grain matching that are submitted without an elevation drawing or clear labeling will be: returned to the customer for clarification, and subject to delays until complete, production-ready documentation is received.

Please note that not all materials cannot be grain-matched across all sizes or configurations due to panel dimensions, material constraints, or manufacturer limitations.

If a requested grain match is not feasible, Corona Millworks will notify the customer of the material restriction, and suggest a possible alternative or partial match, only if applicable and materially achievable.

Corona Millworks is not responsible for mismatches or remake requests resulting from missing, unclear, or incomplete grain-match instructions submitted at the time of order.

Compliance Requirement

All warranty coverage for this product category is contingent upon full adherence to the Environmental and Structural Warranty Guidelines. Failure to meet these conditions will void all applicable warranty coverage.

Thermofoil Doors & Drawer Fronts

Corona Millworks guarantees its Rigid Thermofoil (RTF) products (doors, drawer fronts, molding, bottle racks, valances and fillers) against de-lamination, irregular surface discoloration, warpage, or twisting for a period of five (5) years from the date of delivery, contingent upon compliance with the conditions listed in the Environmental and Structural Warranty Guidelines listed below.

The sole liability of Corona Millworks under this Warranty is repair or replacement of the product as stated above. In no event shall Corona Millworks be liable for labor, installation, removal or consequential or incidental damages. This Warranty is non-transferable.

General Tolerances

Warpage and twist must fall outside of accepted industry tolerances for a warranty claim to be considered.

  • Warpage: Up to 3/16″ (measured from a flat surface to the center-most point of the door) is considered acceptable and not warrantable.
  • Twisting: A twist of 3/16″ or less is considered within acceptable tolerance and is not covered under warranty.

Any claim involving movement must include documentation showing measurements taken per these standards.

Product Specification and Size Limitations

  • Max warrantied height: 72″.
  • Absolute max manufacturing height: 96″

Material Availability Notice

If the colors selected are non-stock materials, production lead times will vary based on material availability and supplier delivery schedules.

Colors chosen outside of Corona Millworks’ curated material collections may result in extended lead times and may incur additional costs due to special-order procurement, minimum order requirements, or increased handling.

Customers will be notified if material constraints affect the requested delivery timeline.

Thermofoil doors purchased with prior notice that the foil material has been discontinued by the manufacturer are excluded from warranty coverage. As replacement with the same material is not possible, any warranty of claims associated with these products will be deemed invalid.

Compliance Requirement

All warranty coverage for this product category is contingent upon full adherence to the Environmental and Structural Warranty Guidelines. Failure to meet these conditions will void all applicable warranty coverage.

Drawer Boxes & Pull-Outs

All Corona Millworks drawer boxes and pull-outs carry a limited one-year warranty from the date of delivery, contingent upon compliance with the following conditions:

Product Specification and Size Limitations

To maintain structural integrity and warranty eligibility, all drawer boxes and pull-outs must comply with Corona Millworks’ manufacturing specifications. Products ordered outside these guidelines may be denied warranty coverage. Key specifications include, but are not limited to:

  • Minimum height for standard drawers: 2-1/2″
  • Maximum height for standard drawers: 26”
  • Maximum height for hamper boxes: 29”
  • Maximum width without center support strip: 36″
  • Maximum width with center support strip: 48″

Custom designs that fall outside catalog specifications may require prior authorization and are subject to limited or no warranty coverage.

General Tolerances

All Corona Millworks drawer boxes and pull-outs are manufactured to the nearest 1/16″, in accordance with precise construction standards. The following tolerances are acceptable and not considered defects:

  • Overall Size and Squareness – 1/16″ tolerance

Finish & Appearance Variations

Inconsistencies of finishes due to atmospheric changes and normal weathering is not covered under warranty. Variations in color, texture, or finish due to environmental exposure or material differences are normal and not considered defects.

Variations due to material changes or manufacturing updates are not defects.

“Footballs” (oval-shaped patches in the wood) are a natural occurrence and part of the manufacturing process.

Because the drawer front and back are not readily visible once the drawer is installed, defects and patches in these areas are considered acceptable and are not covered under warranty.

Drawer boxes are considered C grade and may include patches and larger blemishes/knots. Mineral streaks, discoloration, and other natural characteristics of veneer/wood are common and not covered under warranty.

Specialty Drawer Boxes

All specialty drawer boxes, including but not limited to spice, utensil, corner, partitioned, trash/recycle pullouts, pegboard-style, file, tiered/double-decker, and other custom organizational or accessory drawers, must be submitted with a detailed drawing (that can be obtained by your account manager or customer service representative) to ensure specifications match the customer’s request.

Orders submitted without an accompanying drawing or sufficient dimensional details may be subject to delay, return for clarification, or cancellation. Corona Millworks is not responsible for remakes or misfits resulting from incomplete or missing specifications on specialty drawer orders.

Compliance Requirement

All warranty coverage for this product category is contingent upon full adherence to the Environmental and Structural Warranty Guidelines. Failure to meet these conditions will void all applicable warranty coverage.

Environmental & Structural Warranty Guidelines

Environmental Warranty Requirements

To maintain warranty eligibility, all doors, drawer fronts, and related products must be stored and installed in climate-controlled environments. Damage caused by exposure to improper environmental conditions is not covered.

Corona Millworks does not warranty defects resulting from exposure to:

  • Direct or prolonged sunlight
  • Open or unconditioned garages
  • Freshly plastered, painted, or tiled environments
  • Damp, humid, or unventilated areas
  • Freight or shipping conditions involving excessive heat or humidity

Climate Control Requirements

  • Relative humidity must be maintained between 35%–55%.
  • Moisture content must stabilize between 6%–10% prior to finishing or installation.
  • Upon delivery, receivers must:
    • Inspect products immediately
    • Store all items in a climate-controlled indoor space
    • Avoid prolonged storage in trucks, docks, or unregulated facilities

Corona Millworks is not responsible for issues caused by shipping delays, improper holding environments, or environmental exposure after delivery.

Failure to comply with these requirements voids the warranty, even if products arrive in perfect condition.

Defects, Exclusions & Structural Integrity Requirements

Covered Manufacturing Defects

A manufacturing defect is any physical imperfection resulting from Corona Millworks’ production processes that negatively affects the product’s appearance, fit, function, or structural performance.

Covered defects include, but are not limited to:

  • Incorrect sizing or specifications beyond published tolerances
  • Edge-banding defects such as missing, lifted, or poorly bonded edges
  • Doors, drawer fronts, or panels that are out-of-square beyond allowed tolerances
  • Structural assembly issues related to joinery or construction
  • Damage incurred during shipping or handling prior to receipt

Natural wood variation is not a defect. Wood is an organic material and inherently contains differences in grain, color, mineral streaks, knots, and texture.

Customers requiring a more uniform appearance are encouraged to consider textured melamine options.

For material guidance, please contact your Account Manager.

Conditions Not Considered Defects & Not Covered Under Warranty

The following issues are excluded from warranty coverage because they are caused by environmental exposure, improper installation, improper handling, or customer-directed modifications, rather than manufacturing error.

A. Improper Temperature or Moisture Exposure

Warranty is void when products are subject to:

  • Installation in areas where temperatures exceed 150°F
  • Missing melamine filler panels near heat-producing appliances (ovens, ranges, microwaves, warming drawers)

  • Poor maintenance or misuse
F. Color Change Standard

Color variation occurs naturally over time. Only discoloration greater than ΔE 3.0 on the CIE Lab* scale is considered unacceptable.
Natural shifts below this threshold are not covered.

Replacement & Substitution Rights

Corona Millworks may inspect, repair, or replace defective components at its discretion. If exact materials are unavailable, substitutions of equal grade and quality may be used. Replacement parts may vary in color or texture due to material updates or natural variation. Such variance is not considered a defect.

Remedies do not include monetary refunds. Remakes carry no cash value and apply only to the original product.
